Total Engagement for Your Students!

Are you a teacher or principal looking for a way to energize your students? If so, you’ve come to the right place. My “Total Engagement: Giving Young Authors a Voice” program is exactly what you need to stimulate your students and get their writing skills engaged.

Why am I the right person to do this? I am a former elementary school principal with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, as well as a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). I’ve “been there and done that.” I know how valuable your time is, and that in many cases you are struggling to meet the new requirements of Common Core. I also know that you need a program that has to stay within the constraints of your budget.

The Total Engagement program has been designed with these guidelines in mind and allows YOU to decide on which components of the program best meets your needs. This program goes way beyond the standard whole-school assembly; there is a smorgasbord of choices that get into the classroom and work with students. Yes, you can still have a large scale assembly program if that’s what best meets your needs, but wouldn’t it be even better for your students to be able to say on college applications that they are published authors?

Here are some of the other options you can choose from:

  • In-class presentations on writing, publishing or genre-specific information (for Common Core requirements) with an author who has sold over 60,000 copies of his books in the last couple of years. Students will be excited to work with a “real” author and will see that there is more to writing than “just doing homework.”
  • Want your students to be published authors? I will work with teachers to develop and publish a class novel or anthology of stories or poems. Want a school-wide version? Done. All of the formatting and merchandising is included!
  • Additional teacher consultations on developing a published writing program.
  • One-on-one consultation with administrators for developing a publishing program that pays for itself!

Let me show you how we can work collaboratively to design a program that pays for itself, while engaging students in the writing process. Students learn more when they’re engaged; let’s get them excited about writing!
